WinterCon in Riga

We went to WinterCon here in Riga presented by UniCon. It was an interesting break from the winter outside but not as good as other Comic Cons for me since it was too focused on anime and K-Pop dance. I'm not into those things at all. There wasn't enough of the things I like but it was still interesting.

The winter outside on the way there:

Comic Cons in Stockholm and Caracas had a bit of everything covering comics, anime, sci-fi, and fantasy. I haven't gone to one in the U.S. but I imagine they're the same. This Riga event did have a dash of everything, but it was really heavy on anime and manga in the cosplay competitions and K-Pop dance competitions.

The event skewed very young instead of being an all ages kind of thing at other Comic Cons. There were still some things to check out with the sales stands, legos, and an interesting apocalypse themed booth. Here's some pictures of that stuff and 2 videos showing a bit of the cosplay and K-Pop competitions. It was still interesting even though I didn't know any of the characters or what was going on most of the time.
