I'm busy transitioning to my new job so life feels extra hectic with the move and changes. We do get around in my off time and take some pictures along the way. Here's some random pics to start.

I'll follow up with some more focused posting of the picture albums I'm building on my phone. That is, until the excitement of Sri Lanka wears off and I lose interest in documenting our lives in the blog again.

It will eventually feel like an ordinary life again and our lives here will become routine, although it will be a different routine than most anything else in the past. Work feels different than any other embassy I've worked because of the people. Home feels different than any other place we've lived. The weekend and evening activities are definitely different because it's an entirely different country.

For now, this is our exciting new home!

The iconic Lotus Tour is nearby and a constant landmark. However, there's a lot more than this going on around here with lots of interesting buildings, temples, and many other interesting things to see around the city.
