Here's some miscellaneous pictures of another weekend walk around Colombo. We got our 10,000 steps and saw some new things near us.
Sambodhi Pagoda Temple
We took a tuk tuk to the Sambodhi Pagoda Temple or
Sambodhi Chaithya and walked most of the way home from there. This stupa (Buddhist shrine) is impressive sitting on these interlocking arches. The gate was unlocked but it was pulled mostly shut. We didn't see anyone around so we didn't try to go up even though Google Maps showed people were able to visit it as recently as a year ago. It was still cool to see from the ground.

Dutch Hospital Shopping Precinct
The Dutch Hospital Shopping Precinct is another nice little collection of restaurants that we'll need to revisit. This looks like a fun place to hang out in the evening for dinner. We lucked into catching this area with an art festival featuring some talented local artists. I didn't get good pictures of restaurants, but it's more than just a Burger King.

Floating Market - Pettah
Most tourist reviews of the "floating market" express disappointment because there isn't much of a market and not much of it is actually floating. There's a lot of empty shops and what is here isn't worth a special trip to this odd area near the train station. There's a restaurant that we could check out sometime and there was a nice little coffee shop which gave us a scenic stop on our walk back home. Otherwise, it's just an interesting spot near us to walk through instead of a destination to seek out.

| there's plenty of Christmas decorations around this city of many religions |

| I sometimes relax with Railway Empire 2, so this was extra facinating to watch |
