We take tuk tuks everywhere as the most convenient mode of transportation. Uber is fast and easy so we had them drop us off at an art gallery for a quick peek and then a stroll through the Independence Square area.
One exhibit was being setup and the other was still in place. I think the gallery was technically closed but they let us look around while they were setting up or they were too polite to say it was closed and we shouldn't be there.

Arcade Independence Square is listed on the map as a "shopping mall" but there aren't any shops there. The buildings have more potential for that, but it does have some nice restaurants in several of the buildings. We picked May's Table as a very nice Thai restaurant (below).
We went back another day on the weekend and ate at Blooming Breakfast. They have more than breakfast and the food was good. We'll have to go back and check out all of these modern trendy restaurants here. There's a lot of good restaurant options in this city overall.
