A friend recently posted on Facebook an article Performance Artist Stood Still for 6 Hours to Let People Do What They Wanted to Her Body. It's about Marina Abramović, grandmother of performance art, and a performance where she let people do what they wanted. It's called Rhythm 0 from 1974. The people were nice in the beginning, but then they ended up being awful and destructive. Normal people can become violent if they believe they won't be held accountable for their actions. The article is a shocking read. The museum had a whole exhibition of Marina including a slide show and table of the things used for Rhythm 0.
