Vilnius

We took a Lux Express bus to Vilnius, Lithuania for the 3-day weekend. Lithuania is the country south of us. Latvia sits in the middle of the three wonderful Baltic countries. Lux is a great and affordable bus service with many trips per day to a variety of places in this region. The bus to Vilnius had some nicer premium seats similar to first class airline seats for only 10 euros more than the already affordable bus prices. The bus had a toilet, which was convenient for the 4 hour trip to not need pit stops.

We had part of Sat, all of Sun, and a bit of Mon morning so we stuck to the Old Town area for our short time there. That's often my favorite part of a European city anyway. The bulk of Sunday was spent in the Grand Palace museum because it was big enough and interesting enough to take the day. That'll be a separate post even though the first pics here are from their observation tower. There's more pics from around town below them. It was typical November gloom and rain but it was still good to explore a new city in a new country.
