The Georgian Museum of Fine Arts in Tbilisi is a cool looking building. It has a mirrored glass exterior and a glass central staircase. If that freaks you out then be sure to take an elevator instead of appearing to float on nothing while taking the stairs.
I wanted to show off this cool feature first in case you're just quickly scrolling through after looking at the first few pictures.
Now let's take a look at a nearby park that we strolled through on the way to the museum. Tbilisi is a wonderful city for people like us who enjoy peaceful moments in beautiful parks and soaking up interesting museums. This was a good day.

I digress, but that's what we saw first that day. Now on to the museum.
The art museums of the world provide a window into the soul of a country. It's interesting to see what local artists have captured of their part of the world and what their imagination produces out of their local influences. The landscapes and cityscapes give an impression of the country without travelling all over the place.
The Georgian Museum of Fine Arts houses over 3,500 artworks, created by over 80 artists during the last 70 years. This blog post is just a taste of their expansive collection. I like the overall vibe of the Georgian artists. It was a long day, but we broke it up with lunch at their cool little museum cafe.
