We hired a tour company to take us on a tour in Sri Lanka for a week. We started by heading to Kandy in the central mountain area and seeing elephants along the way and a traditional dance show on arrival before settling into our room for the night with the amazing view above.
Our trip was several weeks after a cyclone devastated parts of Sri Lanka. Our tour guide assured us it would be good to go and support the area with tourism. Some roads were single lane and undergoing repairs but it didn't slow us down very much. The trip was still enjoyable and we had many interesting experiences. Here's some road trip views.
