Santa Fe Railyard area and park
The most awesome experience was visiting Meow Wolf. We'll have to visit the new ones in Las Vegas and Denver when they're complete. It's a huge fun immersive art experience that you have to explore for yourself to understand how it feels to be in there. Words don't work right for it. It's a little like walking into Stranger Things or many of the other cool otherworldly shows we enjoy and wandering around in that kind of environment.
The only pictures of the inside I'll share are from the hallway to the restrooms. This is just a small sampling of what's inside. There's a whole house inside this warehouse structure and it has many paths to other dimensions. Just know that it is completely awesome and it must be experienced!
this is made 3D into the wall and is a small idea of the sort of things you'll see inside
There's also more normal art such as being the home of Georgia O'Keeffe and many other museums. We only had time for a few of them so that's a reason to go back. The place feels more small town with their plaza instead of big city. There isn't a city skyline anywhere that I could see.
They claim the oldest house and church in the U.S.
A final great treat of Santa Fe is all of the art on Canyon Road. Here's the kind of art I'm more interested in but there's all sorts of typical southwest style art here too. We saw lots more inside the galleries which we used as a free museum tour but here's some of the pics I took outside.
