Constantine Algeria

Constantine has various interesting and beautiful bridges crossing the ravine that cuts through the city. This is the Sidi M'Cid Bridge at night. That's after we arrived in the city after visiting the Djémila ruins shown in a previous blog post. We also made a day trip to the Timgad ruins from here which is another post. Most of these city pictures are from the final day of a wonderful 3 day weekend trip.

Restaurant Igherssan is on a cliff, but it was so dark that we didn't get a good look at it until the final day when we were on the foot bridge. It had good food with a interesting interior.

There are two bridges in this picture. The modern one was built by the French on the site of an old bridge of the Ottoman period. This is the oldest bridge of the city located under the modern one. Yes, we decided to venture down there and take a look.
