Centre Pompidou is also known as the Pompidou Centre in English because English likes to annoyingly rename things even if it's only to change the order of the words. Regardless, or with less regard, the Center of Pompidou (because Americans like their -er endings to spell like it sounds) is a really cool looking modern art museum.
I'll say yet again that modern art can be hit or miss, but this museum has enough cool and interesting stuff to make it worthwhile. The external subway-like escalator tube entrances are fun. It was ultra-modern in 1977 with its unique inside-out architecture. It still feels unique even though it isn't so cutting edge anymore compared to many other modern buildings. It's also high enough and open enough to give some interesting views of the city even though it was rainy and overcast.

what's in here? the room below
the color panels in front of this room make for an interesting display
the canvases, labels, and paint with paintings facing the wall are all intentional

disappearing Eiffel Tower, not an art piece but the view outside on an overcast day
