We took a day trip to Dubai to see Burj Khalifa. We had high tea in the highest lounge at the top of the highest building in the world. It was impressive. We had a great mediterranean buffet dinner at the Armani hotel at the bottom of the tower. We were on the terrace overlooking the water fountains show which danced around to different songs every half hour.
We were driven around to some other spots like out on the Palm Jumeirah and to see the outside of the super fancy Burj Al Arab Jumeirah. These were minor time killers in comparison to the main event of the day.
Looking down on some large enough buildings, which were quite small from up there
those are The World Islands but it's hard to make out the map of it
Palm Jumeirah sticking out
lights on the building
At 555 meters (1,821 ft) high, At the Top, Burj Khalifa SKY on Level 148 is an outdoor observation deck. It was the highest until the Shanghai Tower opened an observation deck in June 2016 at a height of 561 meters. This is still below the 585 meters lounge where we had tea.
a museum being built
ha! caught the Burj between the towers of the nearby building as we rode down the highway
Fountains of the hotel for dinner and views of the bigger fountain show and Burj Khalifa lights
